I'd say keep an eye on this one, it is affordable and they have renewed the formulation in korea (saw from their korean website) and are selling it without bergamot fruit oil! But it is not yet possible to order the new formulation from amazon or yes style.
But very drying, pretty much zero white cast, almost like Purito's mineral sunscreen. blue ray sun fluid: PPD no idea, primarily zinc based, but has bergamot fruit oil (can cause rash in sun!). The best white cast ever (pretty much none) but it pills above certain moisturizers and is very vulnerable to rubbing off/no water resistance.2) Make p:rem UV defence calamine sun lotion - no idea about the PPD, they ignored me, but it is very soothing, has pretty decent ingredients, primarily titanium dioxide based but has calamine (which is zinc + red iron oxide). I have some advice for you though: 1) Purito's comfy water sunblock is zinc/titanium dioxide and has a PPD of 19.3. And from pharmacies if I got one, they were only to be used on halloween, I can't imagine anyone wearing that. In drugstores I have never found a mineral sunscreen (The Netherlands here). It is also very very clear, labmuffin had a review on it - it has almost no white cast on her face!įor the rest, seems like Europe is primarily focused on chemical sunscreens. It is super clear, and comes in a large 200ml bottle. My eyes are now on a cheap australian 15% zinc sunscreen Ego sunsense sensitive invisible spf 50+ (which has a PPD of 27!). Ironically they drive hyperpigmentation in me because of the irritation they cause. Chemical sunscreens seem to occasionally irritate my skin, especially after reapplications so i never wear those if i'm indoors all day. I have a similar issue, I'm always on a lookout for the perfect mineral sunscreen (preferably zinc only) in the PPD range of around 20 would suffice me. I saw her also do that with european/korean chemical sunscreens as base sunscreen and then mineral tinted on top, as they can't be easily destabilised with their very stable UVA filters :) Dray on youtube, who is a dermatologist and quite obsessive about sunscreens usually always wears a mineral sunscreen on face (the recommended 1.25ml amount) and then adds additional layer of tinted sunscreen on top (less than 1.25ml because you just do it for the color/coverage mostly).

Not to mention that iron oxides in tinted sunscreens/make up give some protection against visible light (blue/purple light) which can be pro pigmenting for people with darker skin types.ĭr. In fact many people wear untinted sunscreen on their face, and then they apply a small to moderate amount of tinted mineral sunscreen on top to "camouflage" the white cast.
